Blogger Meetup News - San Francisco and UKOUG, Birmingham
A quick update on the forthcoming Oracle blogger meetups at Open World and the UKOUG Conference.
A couple of people warned me that the Thirsty Bear might be closed for a private function during the week of Open World. To be on the safe side, I gave them a call last night, and they are actually open on the Tuesday night. I've made a booking for fifteen people - I'm sure they can accomodate more if needed - so if you're interested in coming, and you've not let me know so far, add a comment to this posting and I'll put you on the list. If we get more than fifteen showing interest, I'll increase the booking.
I've also had a word with the UKOUG and they've kindly offered again to sponsor a blogger social event during the conference week. The date that's been suggested is Tuesday night (14th November), and what I'm proposing is a buffet in a pub, some money behind the bar and a start after the UKOUG volunteers meeting that night. Again, if you're interested, add a comment (make sure you say which event you're interested in) and I'll make a note.
