Next Stop, Bratislava
I'm over in Bratislava, Slovakia this evening in preparation for the next leg of my BI Seminar tour. My luck with regards to hotels seems to have run out, as rather than being in the local Radisson SAS I'm actually in the Hotel Ibis, which is more of a budget hotel although as it's just next to the Old Town, it might force me to go out for once and eat in a local restaurant.
To keep me busy in the evening, I'm putting together a demo where I build the Global Analytic Workspace using Warehouse Builder 10gR2, rather than Analytic Workspace Manager, as the feedback I've got from the last couple of seminars is that this is the tool delegates would like to use to build analytic workspaces. So far it seems fairly straightforward, although as I speak I'm having trouble building the time dimension, some problem with a text field not able to be converted to a date attribute - and I should have it in place for the second day.
Although I left fairly early this morning, my flight involved a stop-over at Munich and therefore I didn't arrive until about 5pm. I've got a couple of hourse before the flight back on Thursday though, I should get a chance to pop out with the camera and take a few snaps. And then ... it's just two days until Open World.
