Rittman Mead and Majendi Join Forces

I'm very pleased to announce that as of 6th April 2009, Rittman Mead and Majendi are joining forces. You'll probably know Majendi best through Adrian Ward, one of the original Siebel Analytics and Oracle BI Enterprise Edition bloggers, and now Adrian and the Majendi team are joining us to create the most experienced OBIEE team in Europe.

I first met Adrian a few years ago after Oracle announced Siebel Analytics as being the foundation for their new BI strategy. Adrian and I shared a few emails at the time, and stayed in touch over the years to share tips and techniques as Oracle's BI tools evolved. One thing that became clear over time was that we shared so many common values that it made sense for our companies to hook up, and since then Jon Mead, Adrian, Daniel Bosman and I have worked hard at putting a deal together to bring the two companies together. I'm delighted to have Adrian, Daniel and the team working with us now, together with our sister company in the USA. Majendi were particularly strong in the Siebel Analytics, Siebel CRM and Oracle BI Applications arena and together we'll have a team that can even better serve our customers in the UK, Europe and USA.

Adrian will henceforth be blogging on this site, and will no doubt introduce himself over the next few days with his thoughts on the OBIEE marketplace and where things are going. In the meantime though, here's some of his thoughts on why the two companies have come together:

"The are three reason why I in do the work I do, and why we have joined forces with RittmanMead.

  1. Technology,
  2. Business,
  3. Personal.

For Technology there is no doubt that getting together with Mark and the team is like joining a formula One racing team - they are clearly leaders in the race for OBIEE excellence.

For business there are big costs savings that will be made (Association costs, Insurance, Marketing, Sales, etc). For the challenges in the IT market in Europe, with the combined team we are in a great position to take on the competition, and continue our expansion in Europe and beyond.

From a personal point of view, there is nothing better than working with a team that are trustworthy, hard working and enjoy a laugh or two. We looking forward to our first AGM weekend!"
