University St Andrews
The student administrators at University of St Andrews rely on a data warehouse and reporting system to gain insight into their student data. Rittman Mead helped them review their data architecture to understand if it was fit for purpose, and proposed a new hybrid architecture and approach based on a custom version of DataVault combined with Kimball star schemas with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) loading of the data warehouse.
Migrating The University of Massachusetts to OAC
Rittman Mead migrated The University of Massachusetts from Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). The migration included a training programme to maximise user adoption. The migration forms part of a large-scale transformation programme to move their on-premises Summit Enterprise Data Warehouse to an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust
University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHSussex) is an NHS Foundation Trust. UHSussex was running on premises instances of E-Business Suite and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). These systems were complex and costly to maintain, and with their impending end-of-support status, the Trust wanted to modernise and reduce operating expenses. The goal was to upgrade these systems.
Chivas - Migration to Oracle Analytics Cloud
Rittman Mead delivered a migration from OBIEE 12c (installed on Oracle Exalytics) to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). Rittman Mead consulted with Chivas during the decision making stage and helped run a test case in order to evaluate the benefits of moving analytics and reporting to OAC. This included looking at a full Cloud solution incorporating Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and also a hybrid implementation where OAC would connect to Chivas on-premise Oracle Datawarehouse.

Rittman Mead’s Expert Service Desk puts your system in the most capable hands in the industry. Esprinet leveraged Rittman Mead’s Expert Service Desk to keep their data analytics reporting systems both current and accurate. This ongoing support included patching, error fixes, and troubleshooting for their OBIEE and OAS environments. Further to this, Esprinet leveraged Rittman Mead's expert consultants for training and a migration.
NHS Digital - OBIEE Upgrade
In May 2020, Rittman Mead and NHS Digital discussed options for an upgrade of their OBIEE (Oracle Business Intellignece Enterprise Edition) platform from version 11g. NHS Digital required an experienced partner to deliver the upgrade, alongside training to better leverage the platform.
